Tattoos, which were earlier a tradition now have emerged as a trend that is as strong as their traditional significance changing seamlessly between trend and tradition. Tattoos have become a popular fashion attracting youth due to their sheer variety in terms of colour and sketch.

Tattoos are art that uses skin as a medium. It is a common scene to witness people getting get tattooed today. From celebrities to common people, tattoos are a craze. Tattooing the name of the person of their choice or wearing a symbol, and couples getting a couple tattoo are in vogue for a long time now.

More commonly, people get tattoos on the neck, hands and feet. There have also been instances where some have tattooed their entire body. Mandala designs, hand-poke tattoos, tribal tattoos and minimalist tattoos are something that never goes out of style. As the stigma is reducing, social acceptance is increasing and there is an improvement in quality, the popularity of tattoos is steadily seeing only an upward trend.

Be careful before getting a tattoo done and always get tattooed by a professional. There is a possibility of infectious diseases being spread due to the pricking of needles. When a tattoo is designed, the needle comes in contact with the blood of the tattooer, and different types of needles will be used for tattooing. If one gets tattooed on street at a lower price, it can spread diseases like AIDS, Hepatitis B, etc. Check if the tattoo tools and colours used by the experts are good and safe. Also that whether the needles used for it are replaced or whether they use what is used on another person already.
