How do you stay happy all the time? It is a fact that if we continue to seek happiness from someone or something, we will become dependent on an external source of happiness. Instead, if we believe that happiness exists within us, in our thoughts, beliefs, and inner consciousness, we will be able to easily achieve our goal of becoming happy. Happiness, then, is your choice of thoughts that can produce a pleasant feeling in your subconscious mind.
Remember that positive thoughts result in positive emotions or feelings, and thus a positive state of mind. Everyone’s definition of happiness is different. Perhaps it’s being at peace with yourself or alternatively, having a secure network of friends who unconditionally accept you or the liberty to pursue your deepest desires.
Living a happier, more fulfilled life is possible, regardless of your definition of true happiness. You can get there by making a few changes to your daily routine.
We smile because we are happy, and smiling causes dopamine to be released in the brain, making us even more happier. That doesn’t mean you have to walk around with a fake smile all the time. However, the next time you’re down, try to smile and see what starts to happen. Alternatively, try beginning each day by smiling in the mirror.
Even a small amount of physical activity can have a significant impact.
According to research, performing acts of kindness can help you feel more satisfied. Giving a genuine compliment is a quick and easy way to brighten someone’s day while also increasing your own happiness.
Most people are unhappy because they either live in the past or worry excessively about the future. One must understand that happiness exists in the present and that it is a gift that we must learn to cherish before it becomes our past or memory.
Keep in mind that negative thinking leads to unhappiness. Our mind is disorganised, and it tends to pick up on more negatives than positives. As a result, directing our thoughts in the right direction becomes essential. Begin by becoming aware of your negative thoughts, emotions, feelings, and beliefs. Recognize them, remind yourself that you deserve only happiness, and replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
Concentrate only on positive thoughts, because what you focus on grows.
