To everyone of us, a good work-life balance does not mean the same. Make “me” time a priority, find a work that gets you charged up, and expectation to get help among others.

However, there are several proactive measures you may take to enhance your work-life balance. Here are some recommendations to help you regain control of your life and well-being.

Make “me” time a priority:

Keeping up with job, family, and friends, ‘me time’ may be the last thing on your mind. However, self-care is NOT selfish. In fact, it should be on the top of your priority list. According to studies, self-care may significantly boost your mood. Remember that self-care looks different for different people, and it may take some time to figure out what works best for you. Here are some excellent ways to begin.

*Keep yourself hydrated. Consume nutritious foods. Get adequate rest. Try some soothing activities (like meditation, journaling, or breathing exercises).

*Maintain contact with those who may offer you emotional support and help. Find a work that you get charged up from. When you’re trapped in a rut at work, you might get dissatisfied. If you can’t figure out how to locate a career you enjoy, look for a mentor. A mentor might help you comprehend the wider picture of a company so that your job makes more sense to you, or he or she can offer you career advise or just support you.

*Change of scenery may sometimes help you rediscover your passion for your career. Joining a professional group is a great opportunity to get out of the office, meet new people.

*Expect to get help. It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or trapped at times. Just bear in mind that it is perfectly OK to seek assistance.
