The world is on foot for the 22nd time and this time in Qatar from November 20, 2022. Qatar has made a history by being first ever Muslim, Arab and Middle Eastern country to host the event, although the smallest country in the region. Over 10 days there has been a lot of action on field with its fair share of glory and disappointments. However, down the history the game has never failed the fans and viewers from being agglutinated. Netherlands, Poland, England, France, Spain, Croatia, Brazil, and Portugal stand at top while a few others still trying to find a slot at the play off-round of 16.

There were few surprises, Argentina failing to catch the Saudi Arabians even on tie and Germans failing to get through the players of Japan to score a goal which ended up in a tie. The South Korean feet restricting Uruguay to a goal-less draw has taken the football world by surprise. Not to forget, Qatar the hosts are yet jump in glory of a victory. The surprises of all, as rightly pointed by the analysts of the game, there is a massive rise of the largest continent, Asia right from the pre-tournament ranking of the season. Is Asia’s entry a threat to the dominant Europe and South America is a question now. But only after realising the fact that the largest continent has begun its journey in small but effective way.

Little sense of history would prove that the contest was given green signal already way back in 1950s by the Koreans, but unfortunately political instabilities have crunched them from growth thereafter. Just to remember, it’s never too late, Andre De Shields, a well-known actor says, “Slowly is the fastest way to get where you want to be.”

It won’t be wrong to mention, the continent of Africa has remained a mystery down through the history of Football Championship. A decade or more nations have been playing in the Premier leagues, La Liga, and other prestigious platforms. In FIFA 2022 season there are five teams competing. What is holding them from even to qualify for the final-four is the unknown factor. Perhaps too early to make the petty judgment on the recent advancement of the tournament but the myth of the largest continent taking the back seat down the history of the football game has been proven the other way.

As the game is racing towards the knockout stage all eyes are on the points table. Netherlands, USA, Argentina, Australia, France, Poland, England, and Senegal have already paved way to the paly off. Brazil and Portugal no doubt they will have their chance to chase the ball to the post. Germany the championships of 2014, are far beyond the mark still trying to figure where they sneak into.

Still lot of actions awaited in the championship trophy. Expect the unexpected may sound a bit cliché but it’s the reality. Coaches are in search of new technics perhaps, the players may be hoping for the best to come from them still but the fact that the whole world staring at the screens of the televisions, mobiles, and other gadgets not to miss any action remains the same.

The classical saying “take it in sportsman spirit” is a bundle of values. Sadly, the game today indicates a battlefield where one can use the muscle power to hurt the best skill and throw them out of the court. In fact, from every match half a dozen each from the both the teams can be booked under manhandling. It will be right to mention from the top names, Neymar Jr., was kicked out with an ankle ligament tear by the Serbians. He had to leave the court at the 80th minute finding his leg inflamed after continues 9 fouls. Nothing less than a challenge for the other top names of the football since they are running to shoulder the peak of the glories.
