The 10-year journey
Newskarnataka.com was established by its parent Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd in 2012 with the avowed mission to empower, enlighten and engage. And that’s what it has done for 10 years editorially independent of its parent – just as journalism should be. Spearhead Media itself is guided by its vision to be a people’s corporate – for the people, by the people and of the people – a place where all its stakeholders – employees, contributors, vendors, readers, and shareholders come together with one mind – to provide people with a platform to be informed and get engaged – with the truth 24×7.
That newskarnataka.com preceded the corporate set up Spearhead Media Group, its parent company established in 2013 may be a dichotomy, but like everything in this world, the natural evolutionary process governed its establishment and has brought us to where we are today – a media house focused on Karnataka, for Kannadigas around the globe.
Newskarnataka.com, headquartered in Karnataka, is today connected to Kannadigas, Kannada organisations of 60+ countries spanning across GCC, Europe, US, Asia, and other parts of the world. This is a true testimony to our commitment to connecting Karnataka & Kannadigas around the globe.
The decision to revamp
Newskarnataka.com has just embarked on its decennial celebrations, and we the team behind it, thought it fitting to give you something to cheer about in this its 10th year – a whole new design for the website that not only makes it more visually appealing but easier to navigate.
Not just a new design, but we have put in a sincere effort to make it more interactive and responsive to your needs – there’s a comment column for feedback and engagement and soon we will be adding many more features that will help you keep in touch with us in unique ways. As technology rapidly metamorphoses the way we inform ourselves, we at newskarnataka.com know that we must keep pace with the changing trends. We owe it to you as you change your reading preferences and habits.
Our decision to revamp both content and presentation is meant to endear us to the next-gen reader as well as our kaizen mentality – continuous improvement. It is important that we always stay meaningful and relevant if we hope to make a difference in society – an avowed aim.
Coincidentally we hope that the revamping proves to be a game-changer in the industry. But we will always respect the King and Content Is King.
We have been working on bringing out this revamped website over the last six months. We have included, besides news and views of people that matter, a lot of exclusive material in our exclusive column from well-known authors, a connection to our YouTube channel, which carries a lot of exclusive infotainment shows and shortly we will be setting up podcasts for your listening and learning pleasure. We hope all these initiatives will both grab your attention and please you. We now have everything you will need and a lot of what you desire in a modern news website – from trending news to exclusive features, hyper-local content to National and International News, Sports, Business, the Economy, Health and Lifestyle, Cinema and Entertainment – it’s akin to a plateful of noodles that is both cheesy and fulfilling.
Our branding partners too must feel especially pleased – we have kept their needs in mind while designing this new avatar, and the site now offers them multiple opportunities to enhance their brand image and recall through video and audio ads as well.
