The terms “illusion” and “magic” arouse much curiosity as well as interest. Some people term these as the work of supernatural or paranormal powers. In spite of predetermined thoughts, people do have special interest towards this art. This art has spread all around the world and Mangalore too is no exception. One of the ambassedors of this art in Mangalore is street magician “Sagar eYe”.
Sagar was born on January 11,1988, in Mangalore. Sagar grew up loving music, making science projects and has always had interest in Magic. His parents are Suneetha and Late Thilak. He has a brother & sister, Sushith & Shilpa.Sagar developed interest in Magic at the age of 15.By profession he is an Animation & Graphic Designer. He has even made a Documentary film and has been featured in various newspapers.
Apart from Magic, Sagar is even eager to try on some risky stunts. His home was his initial practice ground . Spectators had to hold their breath seeing Sagar Standing on the Chopper blade and performing a risky stunt. Later, he slept on the Sharp blades with his chest and stomach facing them. Then he made two people stand on his back much to the amaze of spectators.
Sagar has also performed “Glass Stunt” at Panambur beach where he submerged his body, excluding his face in a coffin filled with glass pieces and stayed in the position for approximately three hours and five minutes.
When News Karnataka visited his place, he spoke to us with great enthusiasm.
Qn: Who is the inspiration for your passion in magic ?
Sagar: Its my mother who gave her constant support in all my achievements and its only because of my entire family and specially my mother, I am in this field. I am deeply inspired by famous street magicians “David Blaine” and “Criss Angel”.
Qn: Tell us about your journey in street magic..
Sagar: As a teenager I have performed at Birthday Parties, at Night Clubs, at home to entertain my family, at private events and for charity.
Qn: Can you tell us about the concept of “Sagar eYe”?
Sagar: “Sagar eYe” is created by me for the eYe AD Media Production Show. As a part of this, “ SUPERNATURAL ” season 1 & “ SAGAR eYe Xtrordinary ” season 2 were filmed in Mangalore, Bangalore and in various Places.The illusions have included Levitating my body, cutting myself in half in full view of an audience, vanishing and teleporting one place to another.
