Former Primary and Secondary Education minister S. Suresh Kumar had visited the Government High School of Sampanagiramanagar, Bengaluru North-03 and on his official Facebook page had lauded the efforts of the school, staff and the Youth NGO called Shikshana.

In the Facebook post, S. Suresh Kumar mentioned that “On my visit the school, I witnessed myself the words of praise spoken by the Headmaster of Government High School, Sampanagiramanagar, Bengaluru. The service of Gopalakrishna is admirable, which has kept the school well-maintained for up to 50 years. Similarly, the contribution of a youth-oriented NGO called “Shikshana” is immense.”

Altogether, he appreciated the contribution and efforts of the local leaders, volunteers, and volunteers of the school in the development of a government school in the heart of Bengaluru.

Shamantha, Headmistress of Government High School, Sampangiramanagar, Bengaluru in a video shared, “Our School has all the facility that can give quality education to the children. We are running 8th, 9th and 10th grades in both Kannada and English medium.”

“We have computer classes, spacious classrooms, and quality infrastructure, and huge library. We are also training our students in extra-curricular activities like drawing and tailoring,” she added.

She further added that Covid – 19 pandemic has created unprecedented situations. We are facing the challenge to keep government school students connected with academics amid the pandemic. We are conducting online classes regularly. We have also created a WhatsApp group in this regard. We also provide personal classes on calls to our students.

She requested the parents to visit their school once and talk to their expert faculty regarding any doubts. She requested them to believe in the government schools and assured the parents that they will provide quality education to their children.

For the last one and a half years, the ordinary man, troubled by the lockdown amid the Covid – 19 pandemic, and it is high time that parents should consider free education offered by the government schools instead of expensive private school fees for the education of their children.
