Mangaluru: Spearhead Media Private Limited, a growing media house from Mangaluru, (they are the owners of the popular pan Karnataka media brands newskarnataka.com, newskannada.com and Karnataka Today, a monthly English magazine) is at the threshold of its fifth year in the media industry. It focuses on truthful and honest news reportage that is oriented towards development issues; it has never wavered from this journalistic path and this has served it well. Now it’s time to celebrate.
As a part of its celebrations, the media house is organizing ‘The Huddle-2019’, an evening of interaction, networking and fellowship, based on the theme, “Media in Development” on January 2, at Milagres Church Hall complex, Mangaluru from 7 pm onwards. Shri Santosh Goenka, Mentor of Spearhead Media Group and Chief Alchemist of Diagonal World will deliver the keynote address; Shri DB Mehta, President, CREDAI, Mangaluru will be the chief guest. CA Valerian Dalmaida and Shri Clevy Leo Rodrigues, media visionaries too will be present on the occasion. The function is expected to be graced by a number of stakeholders in the Media, including its founders, investors, staff, contributors, media partners and many other eminent personalities from all walks of life.
It may be a coincidence (or not; we think not), but Prime Minister Modi, addressing the public with his “Mann ki Baat” on radio for the last time this year said yesterday that, “Spreading negativity is fairly easy, but people must come together to make positivity viral, adding that several websites are spreading positive news and people should share their links so that positivity can be made viral”, and that is exactly what NewsKarnataka.com, Newskannada.com, Karnataka’s favourite news websites with over 4.5 lakh page views a month from all over Karnataka and across the Gulf, even the western world and Europe have been doing for the last five years. Recently the extravagant and much awaited Vishwa Tulu Sammelan that was held in Dubai on the 23rd and 24th of November was telecast live by NewsKarnataka.com on its website and facebook page. The Live telecast was a massive hit with NewsKarnataka’s followers, the event’s organizers and the stars and delegates at the event – All of them experienced NewsKarnataka.com first hand at its stall there and through its live telecast to Tuluvas back home. Videos of the event on its Facebook page have gone viral garnering over 4.5 lakh views within a couple of days of being premiered.

The Spearhead Media Group, led by its flagship Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. (www.spearheadpvtltd.com) started out small with a couple of investors who were also the innovators in the media space of a tier II city.
