We women need a break too, take that without guilt!

In the mornings when there is a cool breeze blowing we are happy to wake up to this. With happiness in our minds we wake up and look forward to a beautiful day ahead. Just then you remember that kids will be late to school if you do not get on to your feet as soon as possible, as today you had decided to make paranthas for breakfast. Going on with your work, you work non-stop till the kids and husband’s tiffins are packed. And also they are packed and sent out of the house.

Post this, you try and squeeze a little time for meditation/exercise before you carry on with the lunch preparation. It really feels good to take time out for ourselves and feel a little fit. Also we would be happy to avoid some of the old-age health issues by doing this. Sometimes we remind ourselves that we have a lot of household work, hence carry on with our work rather than the exercises. Some of us even go out for work after finishing all these chores.

It sometimes feels like a superhuman carrying on with all this day in and day out. But we are happy to do it for our family.

Sometimes you also feel like you need to take a small break and decide to go on a holiday with your friends for 3 days. Even though the family is supportive of this, that ONE aunt has to vent out her frustration on us. How can she leave her kids and go or how do you know what would they be upto. Probably the aunt is envying us and regretting why she didn’t do it herself.

Also when you have tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle and have kept yourself fit, there is problem with that too. Is she trying to attract the other gender by doing this? Aunties – we are not bothered about the other gender. We don’t have time to think about what they think. We are doing it to keep ourselves happy.

Also when we dress up, we do so to please ourselves. Period.

So please, everybody stay fit, dress up as you wish and take a break every now and then because we deserve it. Just stay happy.
