Instagram, the most popular and most used social media platform in the world has been on the top for many years now. A meta-owned application allows users to share photos and videos and thus making it available for the rest to like, share and comment on.
Instagram since its inception in the early 2010s adapted certain changes from time to time, to make user-friendly access and easy-to-use features. Initially focused on sharing only photos and then soon video features were updated. From competing against Facebook to becoming part of the Meta, Instagram has seen a transition within the structure as well.
The recent innovation that has worked out very well is the reel feature. When Tik Tok had a great run in the market, Instagram seized the opportunity to bring in some users to the platform by allowing the same feature.
Instagram now allows users to message, share stories, collab with other users, paid promotions, share photos and videos etc.
There is no official news from Meta or Instagram, but there is a buzz on the internet regarding Instagram allowing users to buy the blue tick verification like Twitter. Twitter Blue is available for $8/ month and $84/year features and similar features wherein users can buy the verification badge by themselves and are expected to come on Instagram soon.
