‘Facebook Prapancha – Shri samanyaru bahusamanyaru’ is a book written by journalist Jayaprakash Puttur. He is a resource person, translator, writer, and motivational speaker.
The title page of the book is written by Prof. Udaykumar Habbu, and the preface begins with a quote. Prof. Udaykumar says here that in this world of globalisation, the writer Jayaprakash has made an made an attempt to focus on the older generation. In our today’s life the aged people are getting ignored. Senior citizens are the treasure of wisdom, experience, while their experience is a routemap for youngsters. It is essential to focus on these people and their achievements through writing. I wish this book inspires many a youngsters.
Here Udaykumar Habbu mentions incidents regarding George Fernandes, Rajeev Kotiyal and Vasudev Atre.
In the preface of the book, writer Jayaprakash says during this pandemic we all became used to social media. However after sometime people were bored with that too. And hence a thought came across writer’s mind to write on Facebook regarding elders with minimum opportunity. Thus, the first write-up under the title ‘Saluting Our Elders’ came about. It was posted on Facebook and became a famous column. Then came the idea to bring out a book which would be collection of these columns.
The author says, “During Covid mankind faced many obstacles. I too faced some mental disturbances so I chose this way to come out of the same.
The book was released in Mangaluru, Putturu, Manipal, Bengaluru and HD Kote of Mysuru. The book was published by Sapna Book House, and it reflects on unsung heroes.
The book consists of the personalities like George Fernandes, Narayan Rao, Dr. Bhaskar Acharya, Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj, Dr. Kayyar Kinhanna Rai and many more.
