Mangaluru: As we see that the rainy season is on the blast and the same heavy rainy are granting holidays for the students. Due to the bad weather nowadays we see that the students are granted with the holiday so that the students will remain safe. But was the condition same in the past decade.
In the past decade we saw that there were rains more violent than now but we were not granted holidays on the basis of it. Many of the leaves which are been granted by the Government officials are to safeguard the children from the violent conditions of the nature.
Were there no heavy rains in the past? Or any similar conditions like present. The reason why this events are being high is because of the haphazard development. No proper gutter system or water drainage systems are installed in the present so-called development works. With a bit rain we see that there is a unnatural flood created and the major land slides. In the past 5 years we see many calamities that has caused deaths of many. So with this situation it is normal for any to grant a holiday for safety purpose.
But we also have to consider that the students are lagging in the academics of the year. Many parents are being disturbed by this as rhe children are being left out of the school constantly. So at least the Government have to take scientific steps in resolving the problems caused by the rain.
