India recorded a memorable Sunday night as they crashed Sri Lanka during the third and final ODI game of the three-match series by a huge margin of 317 runs. The win gave the Rohit Sharma-led team a 3-0 clean sheet in the series and registered the biggest triumph by any squad in the 50-over format.

Choosing to bat first, India posted an impressive total of 390/5 after Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli smashed 116 and 166* runs respectively. That was Virat’s 46th ODI tournament and the second for Gill. Mohamed Siraj later shone with the ball, scalping four wickets while Sri Lanka bowled out for 73.

Following India’s historic win on Sunday at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium, fans from all walks of life took to social media to congratulate Rohit Sharma’s team on this major achievement. Punters who also wagered on Team India with the Rabona promo code available at bemybet.com were also quite impressed with the results.

According to the National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman, Team India showed absolute dominance during the final ODI match and in the whole series. It was also great to see Virat Kohli playing at his best playing white-ball cricket. His unbeaten 166 remains quite special even for his standards.

Shubman Gill, on the other hand, is still impressive with his striking strokeplay and poise. Together, the two-star cricketers helped India gain total domination of the match to land a record-breaking win. According to India’s wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik, it was a great knock for Shubman Gill. Karthik also congratulated his team for their first ODI century on home ground.

Going into the match, Virat Kohli lit the match with his epic 166, recording his third century over the last four innings as Team India annihilated clueless Sri Lanka by recording a historic 317-run to win the third ODI, sweeping the series last Sunday.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill shared a great 95-run before Virat Kohli propelled Team India to an impressive 390. Unfortunately for Sri Lanka, the team succumbed to the fast bowling tactics of Mohamed Siraj who struck inside the 10 overs four times. Team Sri Lanka was out to record a meager 73 in 22 overs, which highlighted the gap between the two teams.

Sri Lanka tried their best to turn up the chase after India’s mammoth total but failed to outwit the Indian side. Avishka Fernando and Siraj caught a widish slip during the second over the innings, as Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Shami recorded several wickets.
