New Delhi: Karnataka took a lead in the T20 matches for the 4th IndusInd Bank Nagesh Trophy National Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2021-22, after beating Kerala by 10 wickets in the match held at Siri Fort Sports Complex, Delhi. Teams from 24 States of India, consisting of 384 visually impaired players, have converged on 6 Grounds in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi to compete for the trophy.
Karnataka took Himachal to a fighting total of 151/0, and won the match by 10 wickets.
The Cricket tournament is being organised by The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) in association with the Samarthanam Trust for the disabled and will help in selecting key players for the upcoming International Championships. Day 2 score highlights put J&K, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala in the leading spot thus far.
India currently holds the Blind cricket World Cup T20 trophy, won in 2018.
