According to reports, 9 year old right-handed Samit Dravid, son of the former India ‘Wall’ who had earlier on Monday scored a match-winning knock of 77, came up with another superb effort in a 61-run win for the Mallya Aditi International School.
Although he missed a century by a whisker, his 93-run knock was enough to power his school to win against Delhi Public School (Whitefield) at the St. John’s Medical College grounds.
Samit’s knock helped His school team post 168 for 3 in 16 overs and in reply the opposition could only manage 107 for 6 in the stipulated overs. Dravid, who is currently the coach of India A team, has two sons – Samit and Anvay.
Earlier this year, Anvay also came into limelight when he dived while doing a fielding drill at the Brabourne Stadium during IPL. It created a splash on the news stands, with his picture carried across all media. Apart from Dravid’s sons, Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, is often seen practicing with other renowned cricketers.
During this year’s Indian Premier League, Pakistan’s pace bowling legend Wasim Akram was seen giving bowling tips to Arjun at the Wankhede Stadium as Sachin looked on.
