In India, card games play a crucial role in the traditional and cultural family life of people. Card games function as the social fabric of local communities and families. Rummy is a long-standing card game in India that requires the analytical and mathematical skills of the players. It is played among two to six players, using thirteen, twenty-one, or ten cards each. As follows the style of drop-and-discard, the players can choose multiple decks. The objective of this game is to make sets and sequences with the cards. A series must have a minimum of three cards in order of the same suit. A set needs four or three cards of similar value, but the suits have to be different. Roulette and Indian Rummy have striking similarities due to their significant digit of variants. In Indian households, it is often addressed as ‘Paplu’, and from senior citizens to adults, it captures the attention of each generation.

Teen Patti

A player can discard cards to block the chance of winning for another participant, but this depends on the previous player’s discarded cards. In this card game, one can see that it has the elements of Cheat. But in Cheat, a gamer has to think of deception cleverly, whereas, in Satte Pe Satta, this element can be used in accordance with the game’s rules.

Teen Do Paanch

Teen Do Paanch is played among three players. It has a traditional pack of 52-cards (Ace of spades: 7, Ace of hearts: 7, Ace of diamonds: 8, Ace of clubs: 8) from which a gamer can use 30 cards. From the slot, three cards are taken out, shuffled, and distributed among three players. A player will be the dealer after getting the number two card but making two hands is a must. The second one sitting at the right corner must make five hands, and the third gamer requires three hands. The winner will be the one who can make the maximum digit of hands. Teen Do Paanch can be parallel with the rules of Bridge. The only exception is that Bridge includes four players who will participate individually.

Poker

India becomes the next region to celebrate the popularity of Poker. In India, this gaming industry is worth $120 million as the new generation tries an alternative to the traditional Teen Patti, which is named Indian Poker. But the importance of Teen Patti still remains among the Indian citizens as it is a simple game of East which relates the entertainment world with the traditional value, cultural sentiments, and union of family. Graph of Poker is rising in the Indian market as a skill-based card game. Indian people widely give acceptance to this card game of the West. But their consciousness still lies in the fact that accepting something new to explore good but to save the heritage of the old one is also everyone’s responsibility.
