New Delhi: After a splendid show put up by the Indian athletes at Jakarta, the Asian Games medal winners were invited to the PM’s residence in Delhi, where he congratulated and had an open discussion with the winners.
Words of wisdom were shared by PM Modi saying that none should lose their focus after attaining name and fame. He also said that in every event the quality of performance level should be maintained.
PM Modi said, “With the help of technology the athletes must develop their performance. For greater achievement technology must be used and compared with the other country athletes.”
“From today, there is a new challenge, that is the Olympics. You all must have a determined goal,” he said.
PM Modi was contented to see the participation of athletes from rural India. Union Minister for Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was present.
