Earlier this week, Mozilla rolled out Firefox 139.0 to all users on the Stable Channel, while version 140 was made available to those in the Beta Channel soon after. This new release included several upgrades, such as enhanced customization options for the new tab page, experimental AI-driven link previews, various bug resolutions, and additional tweaks.

However, alongside these enhancements, some fresh issues surfaced, notably affecting PC users with Nvidia graphics cards using multi-monitor setups with different refresh rates. In response, Mozilla quickly delivered a hotfix via Firefox version 139.0.1.

According to Mozilla, the issue was linked to graphical corruption when using Nvidia GPUs across two or more monitors with varying refresh rates. The bug (ID: 1968876) has now been resolved in this minor update.

Users who reported the glitch on Bugzilla mentioned that parts of a video from one screen would flicker or display incorrectly within the Firefox window on another screen. One user described seeing visual artifacts whenever hovering over interface elements while a video was playing on a different display.

To apply the fix, you can update Firefox by navigating to Menu > Help > About Firefox. Alternatively, you can download the latest version from Mozilla’s official site, the Microsoft Store, or through Neowin’s software portal.

In related developments, Mozilla has officially discontinued Pocket and Fakespot, shifting its attention back to its flagship browser—Firefox.
