Teen Dies by Suicide Over Mobile Phone Dispute in Udupi

Udupi: A 16-year-old girl tragically died by suicide in Airodi after her mother refused to give her a mobile phone. The incident occurred under the Kota police station limits.

According to reports, the teenager, a first-year PU student, had a holiday after exams. When she asked her mother, Asha, for the phone, she was told she would receive it later. Upset over the delay, she skipped lunch and locked herself inside her room.

When she did not respond, neighbors forced open the door and found her hanging. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

A case has been registered at Kota police station, and further investigation is underway.
