Three killed in car accident on Puttur bypass road

Three people tragically lost their lives in an accident on Saturday when the car they were traveling in plunged into a 15-20 feet deep ditch at Parladka on the Puttur bypass road. The deceased have been identified as 86-year-old Annu Naik from Jattipalla, Sullia, his 57-year-old son Chidananda Naik, who was driving the car, and their 67-year-old neighbor Ramesh.

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM when Chidananda reportedly lost control of the vehicle while returning from a function at Punacha in Vittal. Dakshina Kannada SP Yathish N visited the site and instructed officials to implement necessary safety measures. Puttur traffic police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
