
Three Students Injured as Ceiling Collapses at Raichur Hostel
Raichur: On Friday, a distressing incident occurred at the BCM pre-matric hostel in Udamagal-Khanapura village, Raichur taluk, when portions of the ceiling fell, injuring three students. All the injured students are in Class 8 and were immediately taken to the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
The collapse resulted in varying degrees of injury. While one student sustained minor injuries, the other two suffered head injuries, according to medical reports. The extent of their injuries required urgent medical care, and the students are currently under observation at the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the ceiling collapse to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of students residing in the hostel. The incident highlights the critical need for regular maintenance and safety inspections in educational institutions to safeguard students’ well-being.
