Triumph Unveils Sportier Speed Triple RX: A New Flagship on the Horizon
Triumph has teased a more powerful iteration of its Speed Triple, named the Speed Triple RX, set to make its global debut on May 13. This enhanced version will surpass the current Speed Triple, positioning itself as the brand’s new flagship model. Let’s take a glimpse at what we can expect from this upcoming release.
What to Expect from the Triumph Speed Triple RX?
From the teaser shared on Triumph’s social media and official website, it’s clear that the Speed Triple RX will offer a more aggressive and performance-oriented design compared to the standard Speed Triple. The teaser suggests a sportier setup with a lower handlebar, possibly a clip-on type, and repositioned footpegs that are pushed back. Additionally, the seat has been reworked to enhance comfort and performance.
The RX model is anticipated to feature high-end components, including upgraded suspension and braking systems, although specific details remain scarce in the teaser. It’s also likely to be lighter than the Speed Triple RS, and the limited production numbers may increase its exclusivity.
The engine might remain the same as the Speed Triple RS, with a 1160cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine producing 180bhp and 125Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed gearbox. Expect a suite of advanced electronics, likely focused on track-oriented performance. More information will be revealed soon, so stay tuned for the full details.
