
Two Arrested in Mangaluru for MDMA Trafficking
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in Mangaluru arrested two individuals, Abdul Salam (30) and Suraj Rai (26) from Kasargod district, Kerala, for transporting and selling MDMA. Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted a Dio two-wheeler near KC Road in Talapady, seizing 15 grams of MDMA worth Rs 75,000, two mobile phones, a digital weighing scale, and the two-wheeler, with a total estimated value of Rs 1,65,000.
Both accused have previous drug-related cases and were reportedly sourcing MDMA from Kerala to sell to the public and students in Mangaluru. The operation was led by CCB ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, with support from police inspectors Shyam Sundar H M, PSIs Narendra, and other CCB personnel. Further investigations are underway to identify others involved in the trafficking network. A case has been registered at the Ullal police station.
