Udupi Resident Sings About Santhekatte Highway’s Poor Condition, Hopes for Change
Udupi: Madan Manipal, a resident of Katapadi, has released a song highlighting the deteriorating condition of Santhekatte Highway. Inspired by his daily commute and the frustrations of fellow commuters, Madan used his talent to draw attention to the dangerous state of the road, particularly the underpass construction that has caused several accidents.
This isn’t Madan’s first venture into addressing local road issues through music. His previous song about the poorly maintained Katapadi-Shirva road went viral on social media, prompting repairs.
In this latest song, Madan shares his personal experiences, having witnessed accidents firsthand. Despite the gravity of the issue, he clarified that his intention is not to criticize but to raise awareness and urge action to fix the road for the safety of all commuters.
Local lawyer and regular commuter, B. Nagaraj, praised Madan’s efforts, expressing hope that the Santhekatte Highway will see repairs soon, just like the Katapadi-Shirva road.
Madan’s song has already gained widespread acclaim on social media, with many supporting his cause and calling for improvements to the hazardous road conditions.
