Udupi/Mumbai: Honorary life president of Rashtriya Billav Maha Mandal Mulki, former Chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank(Mumbai) Ltd., Administration committee honorary president of Sri Kshetra Gajgegiri Nandana Bittil and Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Jaya C Suvarna passed away at his Nilgiri Residence, East of Goregaon early on the morning of Wednesday, October 21. He was 74.
He is survived by his wife Leelavathi J Suvarna and four sons-Suryakant, Subash, Dinesh and Yogesh. The final rites of the deceased will be held at the Goregaon East on Wednesday evening, family sources informed.
Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Jaya C Suvarna was born on May 15, 1946, near Padubidri in Udupi district to Chandu Poojary and Achu Poojarti.
He was educated at Adve near Padubidri and completed his graduation at Chinnai College in Andheri, Mumbai in 1974.
