Udupi: Fishing using traditional and mechanised boats have been banned by the state government from June 1 to July 31.
The Ministry of Fisheries Animal Husbandry and Dairying gave the order to all coastal states to impose ban on fishing in the country’s exclusive economic zone.
The order also stated that penalties will be given to those who violate the above said order.
