Udupi: During a time when the nation is already facing tensions due to clashes over the CAA, NRC and NPR, with violence breaking out in several parts of the country, some miscreants have been observed raising pro-Pakistan slogans.

One of such cases was reported recently from Kundapur, where a person named Raghavendra Ganiga shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” repeatedly at the Mini Vidhana Soudha.

When the Kundapur Police were alerted about the incident, Inspector Harish and his team rushed to the spot and took the accused into custody and subjected him to an interrogation.

According to reports, the accused is believed to be mentally disturbed.

It can be recalled that earlier, in Hubbali three Kashmiri students had allegedly raised similar slogans in a video that was posted to their social media accounts. In another incident, in Bengaluru, during an anti-CAA, NRC, and NPR protest rally organized recently, 19-year-old student activist Amulya Leona Noronha had also shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” and was promptly taken into custody.

Reports also suggest that, on Sunday, March 2, in the Kalaburgi district, miscreants had written pro-Pakistan slogans and also wrote abuses against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a wall.
