Kundapur: An SSLC student hailing from Kundapur, who apepared for science examination on Monday has been tested positive.
It is said that though the girl did not have any obvious symptoms of COVID-19 while entering the hall, she complained of headache and discomfort while writing the examination.
She was made to sit separately to write the examination and was later taken to a hospital. She was tested for COVID-19 and her reports came positive on Tuesday.
As per sources, her relative had returned from Maharashtra and had also completed institutional quarantine.
The room where the student wrote the examination has been sanitised.
Earlier, on June 28 an SSLC girl from Kaup had tested positive for the coronavirus. With this, the district has registered two coronavirus positive cases among the SSLC students appearing for the examinations this year.
