Padubidri: A truck driver tragically died on the spot on Tuesday, April 21, on NH 66 near Uchila.
According to reports, the truck driver, identified as Mahantesh a resident of Hubballi, was carrying maida in his truck.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 4 AM on Tuesday, when Mahantsh was hit from behind by another truck carrying onions. Mahantesh had reportedly stepped out of the truck and was inspecting it for repairs when he was hit from behind.
The driver of the other truck is also said to have sustained injuries in the accident.
A case has been registered at the Padubidri Police Station.
