Udupi: A person in Udupi has been tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first positive case of the district.
The 34-year-old man had reached Udupi from Dubai on March 18.
The throat swab of the suspected person was sent for test on March 23 and the results came positive, said District Health Officer Sudhirchandra Sooda.
Efforts are on to trace the people who had come with conatct with the person.
