Mangaluru: At Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady on Saturday July 30 along with Environment Day celebrations, the school’s Environment Association, English Association, Kannada Association, Science Association and Cubs BulBul, Scouts ans Guides Associations were inaugurated.
The programme was started by symbolically planting of saplings. The leaders of all the associations read the aims and objectives of their association. Leader and Assistant Leader of the associations were given identity cards. Student Looha Mariam spoke about the Environmental Day.
Madanthyar Sacred Heart School Headmaster Fr. Deepak D’Sa said that greenery is our lifeline. We should grow and protect trees. The School Headmaster Fr .Clifford Pinto gave the Environmental Day message and wished the students to actively involve themselves in all the activities of the school through their associations.
Students entertained and created awareness about the environment through dance, metaphors and songs. Saplings were planted in the school premises. The programms was a success with the participation of all the associations. Assistant Teacher Renita Lasrado, Vinita Moras and Mary Suja assisted.
