Prime Minister Narendra Modi has many fans and admirers around the country and often some of them have strange wishes such as meeting the man in person. But among his fans, one woman from Rajasthan has topped all such weird wishes she wants to marry him! Yes, and in order to do so, she has been sitting on a ‘dharna’ for the past one month and says will not give up until the PM comes and meets her.

The woman in question has been identified as Om Shanti Sharma and has been sitting in protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi since September 8. The 40-year-old lady, hailing from Jaipur, claims to be in sound mind and it is out of admiration and respect she wants to be with the leader.

According to a report by India Today, Sharma just wants to “serve PM Modi” as he single-handedly has a lot of work to do. “I know people will not allow me to meet him. But I also know that he needs help. He is alone like me,” Sharma said, who was earlier married but the relationship did not last for long.

Explaining further, why PM Modi is the person she wants to tie a knot with, she added: “When people here about this, they often laugh at me. I want to tell them that I just don’t want to marry Modi ji because I have a thing for him, it is also because I respect him. In our culture, it has been taught since childhood to respect elders and help them in their work. I want to do my bit and help.”

In case you are wondering if she is a destitute, Sharma claims otherwise. According to her, she has a lot of land, property and money back in Rajasthan. She also has a 20-year-old daughter from her previous marriage and is not worried about her future either. In fact, with her money, she wants to buy some gifts for PM Modi. “I have a lot of land back in Jaipur. I have planned to sell some of them and buy some gifts for Modi. I will remain on a sit-in till the time Modi ji comes to meet me,” she stated.

During her protest, she has been using public toilets and eating at langers. However, with a warning issued by the NGT, she is worried that the tribunal may shift her protest site.
