Couple found dead at Belmar
Udupi:In an shocking incident two persons were found hanging from an electric pole in a plantation at Uggelbettu, Uppoor in Belmar here on Sunday.
The deceased are identified as Vijay (28), a resident of Uggelbettu and Veena (21), a resident of Ammunje.
Veena was a member of a self-help group under Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP).Vijay was also a representative of SKDRDP at Malpe.
Sources said that Veena had taken loan for construction of a house and given it to Vijay. As they could not pay back the loan they might have committed suicide,sources said.
The exact reason is not yet known. but it is said that Veena had been forcing Vijay to marry her.But it created problems between Vijay and his wife.
The residents of Uggelbttu informed the Brahmavar police.A case has been registered in Brahmavar police station.
