Austin, Texas: Sherin, a 3 year-old Indian born girl, has gone missing from her house in the Dallas suburban area.
After refusing to her milk, her adoptive father, Wesley Mathews, 37, punished her by making her stand outside by a large tree at around 3 am on Saturday.
According to police, the father has been taken into custody after reporting the incident and has been released on bond.
The father claimed that he went outside to check on his daugther 15 minutes after he sent her outside, only to find her missing. He also claims that he had seen coyotes in the alley near where his daughter was made to stand.
Sherin was born in India and was later adopted by the Mathews.
