Sydney, Australia: Australian authorities have reported the apprehension of a Taekwondo instructor suspected of the murder of a South Korean family of three in western Sydney. The grim discovery of the victims’ bodies occurred across two separate locations on Tuesday.

At a martial arts center in the city, the lifeless bodies of a 41-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy were found, both having succumbed to injuries indicative of assault, according to statements from Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty of the homicide squad. Doherty emphasized that the nature of the attack suggested intent to kill.

Simultaneously, a 39-year-old man was discovered deceased in a nearby residence, with authorities suspecting fatal stab wounds as the cause of death.

The suspected perpetrator, a 49-year-old individual, sought medical attention at a local hospital on Monday evening, citing injuries sustained in a purported assault at a supermarket car park. However, subsequent investigations by law enforcement, including forensic examinations of the crime scenes, led to the arrest of the individual.

Furthermore, police have disclosed that the victims were all related and of South Korean descent, with appropriate notifications made to their consulate and relatives.

Detective Doherty expressed profound sorrow over the tragic events, emphasizing the immense loss suffered by the family and the wider community.
