Los Angeles: Two of the suspects in a mass shooting that left at least 14 people dead in California have been identified. The US media reported on Thursday that two suspects were identified as Syed Farook (28) and his fiancée/wife Tashfeen Malik (27).
As per sources, the records show that man bearing the same name worked as an environmental health specialist for San Bernardino County, where the shooting took place and further that a man carrying the same name is listed as residing at an apartment complex where the suspects of Wednesday’s shooting were tracked by police.
Armed with assault-style weapons, the two are believed to have opened fire Wednesday morning at a social services agency holiday event in San Bernardino, California. The attack, which also left 17 wounded, was the most deadly shooting in the United States in three years.
A massive manhunt, following the shootout ended with the police shooting dead two suspects- Farook and Malik.
One police officer was injured in the gunfight with the two suspects, who were confronted in their getaway vehicle after fleeing the scene of the shooting in San Bernardino, about 60 miles (100 km) east of Los Angeles, according to police.
