Canadian authorities have arrested 24-year-old Nicholas Singh, one of the country’s 25 most wanted fugitives, following a late-night operation in Toronto. Singh, who was listed on the Bolo (Be On The Lookout) Program’s “25 Most Wanted” list, was apprehended around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, police officials said.
Fugitive captured after months on the run
According to Toronto Police, Singh was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of parole by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad. Officers spotted him inside a vehicle, leading to his arrest without incident.
During the operation, police also recovered a firearm, an extended magazine and ammunition. Following the arrest, Singh has been charged with six additional firearm-related offences, adding to his existing criminal history.
The Bolo Program described Singh as having been “unlawfully at large” since 31 May 2024, when he escaped supervision while serving a five-year, five-month, 10-day sentence for robbery and firearm-related crimes.
Bolo Program’s role in tracking fugitives
The Bolo Program, which aims to use communication technologies and public outreach to assist law enforcement, had featured Singh prominently in its campaign. The initiative encourages citizens to remain alert and support efforts to track Canada’s most dangerous fugitives.
The program’s most-wanted list currently includes two other individuals of Indian-origin wanted in separate cases involving grave criminal offences.

Gurkirat Singh: Wanted for alleged sexual assault on a minor
26-year-old Gurkirat Singh is wanted by Delta Police in British Columbia for alleged sexual assault of a child committed on 12 September 2024. He faces charges including sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference of a person under 16.
Gurkirat is described as 6 feet tall, weighing around 140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Police have cautioned that he may have altered his appearance while evading arrest.
Dharam Singh Dhaliwal: Accused of murder in 2022
Also on the list is Dharam Singh Dhaliwal, wanted for the first-degree murder of 21-year-old Pawanpreet Kaur, who was fatally shot at a Petro-Canada gas station in Brampton on 3 December 2022.
Investigators allege Dhaliwal went missing in September 2022 as part of a planned effort leading up to the murder. Described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and having a tattoo on his left hand, police warn he is armed and dangerous.
Two of Dhaliwal’s family members — Pritpal Dhaliwal (25) and Amarjit Dhaliwal (50) — were arrested in April 2023 in New Brunswick and charged with Accessory to Murder After the Fact. Police have reiterated that anyone helping Dhaliwal evade arrest will face similar charges.
Goldy Brar no longer on the latest list
Notably, gangster Satinderjeet “Goldy” Brar, who appeared on the Bolo most-wanted list last year, does not feature on the current edition. Brar, however, remains at large and is sought in connection with the May 2022 murder of singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala.
Conclusion
With Singh’s arrest, Canadian authorities have taken a significant step in cracking down on fugitives listed under the Bolo Program. Police continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any information that may help in locating the remaining high-risk offenders.
