2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Price and variants

The new Xtreme 160R 4V is priced as follows:

  • Standard: Rs 1.27 lakh
  • Pro: Rs 1.37 lakh
  • Carbon: Rs 1.41 lakh

All prices are introductory and ex-showroom, Delhi. Bookings are open across Hero MotoCorp showrooms. Deliveries of the Pro and Carbon variants are scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026, while the Standard variant is expected to reach customers from January 2027.

The previous base variant has been renamed Standard, while the earlier Combat Edition has been repositioned as the Pro. The new Carbon variant sits at the top of the range.

Sharper styling and new colour options

The 2026 model features revised styling, with sharper bodywork around the fuel tank and rear seat cowl. The updated design gives the motorcycle a more angular appearance while retaining its street-naked character.

The motorcycle features an LED headlamp, signature H-shaped daytime running lights and LED tail-lamps and indicators. The revised fuel tank and body panels contribute to its sportier profile.

The Standard variant is available in Firestorm Red and Pearl Black. The Pro comes in Pro Red and Pro Black, while the Carbon offers four colour options: Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Carbon Grey and Abrax Orange.

Engine and performance

All three variants are powered by a 164.32cc, oil-cooled, four-valve, single-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The engine produces 17.1 hp at 8,750 rpm, a slight increase over the previous model’s 16.9 hp. Peak torque remains unchanged at 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

The power increase is modest, with the main updates focused on styling, equipment and rider technology. Hero has also revised some dimensions: the seat height has increased by 2 mm to 805 mm, while the kerb weight has risen by 1.5 kg to 149 kg.

Standard, Pro and Carbon: Key feature differences

The Standard variant comes with telescopic front forks, a mechanical throttle, disc brakes at both ends, single-channel ABS and an LCD instrument console. It is aimed at buyers looking for the core Xtreme 160R 4V package at a lower entry price.

The Pro variant receives a more extensive equipment package. It features a 37mm KYB upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload. It also gets ride-by-wire throttle technology, three riding modes and cruise control.

The riding modes are Rain, Road and Sports, allowing riders to select different throttle-response settings. The Pro also features dual-channel ABS, providing braking intervention at both wheels.

The Carbon variant builds on the Pro’s equipment and adds a 4.2-inch TFT instrument display. The screen has a layout tailored to the motorcycle’s sporty character and replaces the LCD console offered on the other variants.

Rivals in the 160cc motorcycle segment

The updated Hero Xtreme 160R 4V competes with motorcycles such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Its revised design and additional electronic features are intended to strengthen its appeal in the sporty commuter and street-naked motorcycle segment.

With three variants, a small increase in engine output and a broader feature package on the higher trims, the 2026 Xtreme 160R 4V offers buyers different equipment levels at distinct price points. The Standard prioritises affordability, while the Pro and Carbon add more technology and hardware.

Prospective buyers should check with their nearest Hero MotoCorp dealership for the final on-road price, availability and delivery timelines.
