Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy has announced a price increase of up to ₹3,000 across its scooter range, effective January 1, 2026. The company cited rising raw material costs, foreign exchange fluctuations, and increased prices of key electronic components as the primary reasons for the revision.

The hike will apply to all models, including the Ather 450 performance series and the Ather Rizta, the company’s family-oriented electric scooter.

Buyers can lock current prices in December

Customers planning to purchase an Ather scooter still have an opportunity to secure existing prices before the increase takes effect. As part of its ongoing ‘Electric December’ campaign, Ather is offering benefits of up to ₹20,000 in select cities.

The offers include instant credit card EMI discounts, cash incentives, and a complimentary eight-year extended battery warranty (Eight70™ warranty) on select models. The company has also partnered with multiple financiers to support flexible purchasing options during the year-end period.

Electric December enters third year

Now in its third year, Electric December underscores Ather’s focus on delivering long-term value to electric vehicle buyers, even amid rising costs. The company highlighted its commitment to consistent hardware–software integration, robust charging infrastructure, and dependable after-sales support.

Product portfolio and key features

Ather’s current portfolio comprises the Ather 450 series, designed for performance-focused riders, and the Rizta, which caters to everyday family use.

The Ather 450 series features multi-mode traction control, MagicTwist™ regenerative braking, and connected technologies such as Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp integration on the dashboard, and call and music controls.

Rizta strengthens Ather’s market presence

The Ather Rizta has gained traction across newer markets and recently crossed the two lakh sales milestone, contributing significantly to Ather’s expansion into non-metro regions.

Designed for comfort and practicality, the Rizta offers 56 litres of total storage, including 34 litres under the seat and an optional 22-litre front storage compartment. Safety features include SkidControl™, Fall Safe™, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), along with theft and tow alerts. Ather has also announced a touchscreen upgrade for the Rizta Z variant at its Community Day 2025.

Retail availability and charging network

In addition to its Experience Centres across India, Ather scooters are available online through Amazon and Flipkart, improving accessibility for customers nationwide.

Founded in 2013, Ather Energy Limited was the first two-wheeler manufacturer in India to establish a dedicated fast-charging network, Ather Grid. As of September 30, 2025, the company operates 4,322 fast and neighbourhood chargers globally, including 4,282 across India.
