Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025: A Day of Spectacular Reveals and Launches

The second edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo kicked off today with a bang, featuring an exciting array of showcases and launches from both mass-market and luxury carmakers. Day one was packed with thrilling unveils, including the much-anticipated return of Tata’s iconic SUV in an updated ICE avatar and the debut of Maruti’s first EV, the e-Vitara.

Maruti e-Vitara Production Model Unveiled Maruti showcased the production-spec version of the e-Vitara, marking the company’s first all-electric vehicle. With a claimed range of over 500 km, the e-Vitara is set to be manufactured locally and sold both in India and internationally. Prices will be revealed in March.

Tata Sierra Makes a Comeback Tata’s legendary Sierra SUV made a spectacular return at the expo, now with an internal combustion engine (ICE) option. Sporting minor updates to the grille, bumper, and alloy wheels, it is expected to feature the Harrier’s 2-litre diesel engine or a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Tata Harrier EV and Avinya Showcased Tata also revealed the production-ready Harrier EV, featuring an all-wheel-drive system and dual motor setup. Additionally, the Avinya concept made a return with a new design featuring a sloping roofline, signaling Tata’s commitment to innovation in electric vehicles.

New Editions of Tata SUVs Tata introduced new editions of popular models like the Safari, Harrier, Nexon EV, and Harrier EV. The Bandipur and Stealth editions feature exclusive paint schemes inspired by India’s wildlife.

Hyundai Creta Electric Launch Hyundai launched its most affordable electric offering, the Creta Electric, with prices starting at Rs 17.99 lakh. Offering a range of up to 473 km, it is available in four variants.

Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV Toyota revealed its Urban Cruiser BEV, a rebadged version of the Maruti e-Vitara, with a claimed range of over 550 km.

MG Motor’s New EVs MG Motor showcased two exciting new EVs: the Cyberster, a two-door sports car, and the M9, a large electric MPV.

Kia EV6 Facelift and Carnival Hi Limousine Kia’s EV6 facelift debuted in India, along with the Carnival Hi Limousine, which made its global debut at the expo.

Skoda’s All-New Models Skoda presented five models, including new-generation versions of the Superb, Kodiaq, and the Octavia vRS. Additionally, Skoda debuted two all-new EVs, the Elroq and Vision 7S.

BMW iX1 LWB Launch BMW introduced the iX1 long-wheelbase version, priced at Rs 49 lakh, offering a range of up to 531 km.

Mercedes-Benz’s Star-Studded Showcase Mercedes-Benz stole the show with seven impressive models, including the G-Wagon Electric, E-Class LWB AMG Line, and Maybach EQS 680 Night Series.
