New Delhi: BMW India has officially opened bookings for the facelifted BMW 7 Series luxury sedan and its all-electric sibling, the BMW i7, ahead of their India launch later this month. The updated flagship models arrive with refreshed styling, a redesigned cabin, upgraded technology and improved petrol, diesel and electric powertrains.
Customers can now reserve the new models through authorised BMW dealerships across the country or via the company’s official website. Prices and the India-spec variant lineup will be announced at the time of launch.
Bookings now open
BMW India has begun accepting pre-launch bookings for both the updated 7 Series and i7, more than three months after the facelifted models made their global debut in April 2026.
The facelifted luxury sedans are expected to carry a slight premium over the outgoing versions, which are currently priced from ₹1.85 crore (ex-showroom) for the 7 Series and ₹2.10 crore onwards for the BMW i7.
Refreshed exterior design
The updated 7 Series receives several styling revisions while retaining its distinctive flagship proportions.
Changes include redesigned LED daytime running lights, a refreshed illuminated kidney grille, a revised front bumper, new alloy wheel designs and updated rear lighting elements. BMW has also introduced new paint finishes, including additional two-tone options for buyers seeking greater personalisation.
Tech-focused cabin
Inside, BMW has significantly upgraded the cabin with technology inspired by its latest Neue Klasse design language.
The facelift introduces a new Panoramic Vision display, a larger 17.9-inch central touchscreen, an updated steering wheel, a 3D head-up display and an optional 14.6-inch passenger display. Rear-seat occupants continue to get the optional 31.3-inch Theatre Screen, reinforcing the sedan’s chauffeur-focused luxury appeal.
Updated powertrains
BMW has retained petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and all-electric options globally while improving performance and efficiency.
For the Indian market, the company is expected to continue offering petrol, diesel and electric variants, though the exact lineup will be confirmed during the launch. The facelift also delivers higher output across several international powertrains.
The updated BMW i7 continues to support fast charging and offers a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 720 km, depending on the variant.
Competes in luxury flagship segment
Once launched, the refreshed BMW 7 Series and i7 will continue to rival the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 L and other flagship luxury sedans in India.
BMW is targeting customers seeking both chauffeur-driven comfort and advanced technology, with the electric i7 also appealing to buyers looking for premium zero-emission mobility.
India launch expected soon
BMW has not yet revealed the official launch date but has confirmed that deliveries will begin after the India debut later this month.
The company is expected to announce variant-wise pricing, equipment levels and booking timelines during the launch event.
Conclusion
With bookings now open, BMW is preparing to introduce its updated flagship luxury sedans to the Indian market. Featuring revised styling, a more technology-rich interior and upgraded powertrains, the facelifted 7 Series and i7 are expected to strengthen BMW’s position in India’s premium luxury car segment.
