The facility has an installed annual production capacity of 30,000 units and will manufacture Creatara’s IN40 and VM4 electric two-wheelers for both domestic and export markets.
The manufacturing milestone marks the company’s transition from product development and certification to series production as it seeks to expand its presence in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
Creatara sets up manufacturing facility in Delhi-NCR
Located in the Delhi-NCR region, the new facility has been established to support future production growth while maintaining standardised manufacturing processes.
Creatara said it has developed capabilities across several key areas as it scales its operations. These include powertrains, battery systems, electronics, connected technology, testing and industrialisation.
The company said the manufacturing setup is designed to support its plans for both the Indian and overseas markets.
The IN40 and VM4 were first showcased in January 2025 and are based on Creatara’s proprietary vehicle platform.
Both models feature an AI-ready Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) and portable, swappable battery packs.
Creatara is positioning the two electric two-wheelers as part of its “Made in India, Made for the World” strategy.
Creatara IN40 targets fleet and commercial users
The Creatara IN40 is positioned as an electric two-wheeler for fleet and commercial applications.
The model offers a claimed range of up to 150km on a single charge and is available with 2.3kWh and 4.3kWh swappable battery packs.
Depending on the variant, the IN40 supports either 48V or 72V electrical architectures.
The higher-specification version is claimed to achieve a top speed of 110kmph.
The IN40 also features an AI-ready Vehicle Control Unit. According to Creatara, the system enables functions including vehicle diagnostics, rider profiling and connected-vehicle features.
The use of swappable batteries is intended to provide additional flexibility for fleet and commercial operators, particularly where battery charging and vehicle utilisation are important considerations.
Creatara VM4 focuses on personal mobility
The Creatara VM4 is aimed at personal mobility users and also offers a claimed range of up to 150km per charge.
The electric scooter has a claimed top speed of 110kmph and is expected to be available with 2.3kWh and 4.3kWh battery pack options.
Like the IN40, the VM4 can use either 48V or 72V electrical architectures, depending on the variant.
The scooter uses portable and swappable battery packs, allowing users to remove the batteries and charge them separately from the vehicle when required.
Creatara moves towards series production
The inauguration of the Faridabad facility represents an important manufacturing milestone for Creatara Mobility as the company moves beyond the development and certification stage.
With an installed annual capacity of 30,000 units, the plant provides the company with a dedicated base for producing the IN40 and VM4 for Indian and international markets.
Creatara’s focus on proprietary vehicle technology, swappable batteries and connected features is aimed at supporting different electric two-wheeler applications, ranging from commercial fleets to personal mobility.
The company will now begin scaling series production from its Faridabad facility as it works towards expanding its presence in the electric two-wheeler market.
