New Delhi: Ducati has updated the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak for the 2027 model year with a new racing-inspired livery influenced by its factory MotoGP and World Superbike motorcycles. The motorcycle retains its existing mechanical package, while receiving revised graphics and customisation options through Ducati’s Factory Made programme.
The updated motorcycle draws styling inspiration from Ducati’s Desmosedici GP MotoGP machine and Panigale V4 R World Superbike racer. The new design has been created by Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance as part of the company’s centenary-year celebrations.
New racing-inspired graphics
The biggest update to the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is its new livery. Ducati has incorporated visual elements associated with its factory racing motorcycles, giving the sport-touring machine a more competition-inspired appearance.
The motorcycle continues with carbon-fibre components, a smoked windscreen, gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders, a V4-branded seat and Ducati Corse badging on the front beak.
A road-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer is also part of the package, adding to the motorcycle’s performance-oriented specification.
The new livery is not accompanied by a major mechanical overhaul. Ducati has instead focused this update on the motorcycle’s appearance and riding character.
Factory Made programme adds customisation
Ducati’s Factory Made programme allows customers to configure the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with several factory-approved options.
These include red forged wheels with matching red or black brake callipers, different seat-height configurations and additional carbon-fibre components. Buyers can also specify auxiliary lights and luggage options with panniers and a top box.
The availability of these options allows the motorcycle to be configured for different uses, from sport-focused road riding to longer-distance touring.
17-inch front wheel and sports-focused chassis
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak remains distinct from the standard Multistrada V4 through its 17-inch front wheel. The smaller front wheel, combined with forged aluminium wheels and road-focused tyres, is designed around sharper handling on paved roads.
The motorcycle uses five-spoke forged wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. It also features a single-sided swingarm.
The riding position is also more sport-oriented than the conventional Multistrada V4. The footpegs are positioned higher and further rearward, while the handlebars are lower, narrower and flatter. These changes are intended to provide greater cornering clearance and a more engaged riding position.
1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine
The updated Pikes Peak continues to use Ducati’s 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine.
Ducati’s current specifications list maximum power of 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and peak torque of 124 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The engine uses a counter-rotating crankshaft and is paired with a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift up/down.
The Pikes Peak also gets a dedicated Race Riding Mode. Ducati says this configuration is designed to maximise the motorcycle’s engine and chassis performance, with revised electronic-control settings for more performance-focused riding.
Öhlins electronic suspension
The motorcycle continues with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic suspension. The system allows the suspension response to be adjusted according to the selected riding mode and conditions.
The Pikes Peak uses a fully adjustable 48mm Öhlins upside-down front fork with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment. At the rear, the motorcycle uses an Öhlins electronic shock absorber.
The combination of the 17-inch front wheel, sports tyres, electronic suspension and revised riding position gives the Pikes Peak a more road-focused character within the Multistrada range.
India launch expected in 2027
The updated 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is expected to reach India in 2027, according to automotive industry reporting. Ducati has not yet announced India-specific pricing for the updated model.
The India-spec motorcycle’s price, availability and exact launch timeline are expected to be announced closer to its market introduction.
The new livery gives Ducati’s flagship sport-oriented Multistrada a closer visual connection with its racing motorcycles, while the core engine, chassis and electronics package continues largely unchanged.
