London: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has globally unveiled the updated Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II, bringing significant improvements in range, performance and luxury features. The latest iteration of the brand’s first all-electric coupe offers enhanced efficiency, greater power output and a range of bespoke customisation options.
While the company has not yet confirmed an India launch timeline, industry observers expect the new Spectre Series II to arrive in the country in the coming months. The standard Spectre was launched in India in 2024, followed by the high-performance Black Badge variant in 2025.
Up to 628 km range on a single charge
One of the biggest highlights of the Spectre Series II is its improved driving range. Rolls-Royce claims the updated model can travel up to 628 kilometres on a single charge under the WLTP testing cycle, representing an increase of up to 18 per cent compared to its predecessor.
The company has also improved charging efficiency, reducing charging times by up to 14 per cent. These upgrades are expected to make the luxury EV more practical for long-distance journeys while maintaining the effortless driving experience associated with the Rolls-Royce brand.
More power and torque
Performance has also received a notable boost. The Spectre Series II now produces 593 hp and 1,015 Nm of torque, compared to the earlier model’s 585 hp and 900 Nm.
For customers seeking even greater performance, the Black Badge variant raises output to 670 hp and delivers 1,100 Nm of torque through its dedicated Sprited mode. Despite the increased power, Rolls-Royce continues to prioritise refinement and smoothness over outright sportiness.
Elegant design receives subtle updates
The exterior design retains the Spectre’s signature fastback silhouette, illuminated grille and split-headlamp arrangement. However, Rolls-Royce has introduced several subtle enhancements.
A new exterior paint finish called Ethereal Blue joins the colour palette, while newly designed 23-inch forged alloy wheels add a fresh visual touch. The Black Badge version features a more aggressive appearance with matte Iced Black accents applied to several exterior elements, including the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy.
Bespoke luxury reaches new heights
Inside the cabin, Rolls-Royce has further expanded its bespoke offerings.
The new Duality Twill upholstery uses a bamboo-based fabric featuring intricate embroidery inspired by the brand’s craftsmanship traditions. Customers can also opt for laser-perforated leather artwork and an illuminated fascia incorporating more than 8,000 individual light points.
A redesigned aviation-inspired digital clock and the new Tiger Stripe veneer, which incorporates glass flakes to create a shimmering effect, add further exclusivity to the interior.
India launch expected
The standard Spectre currently serves as Rolls-Royce’s flagship electric offering in India. With demand for ultra-luxury electric vehicles gradually increasing, the Spectre Series II is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the segment.
Although pricing has not been announced, the updated model is likely to command a premium over the existing Spectre range when it eventually arrives in the Indian market.
