Bagalkot: A heartwarming video of SR Naik, a Woman PSI at Ilkal Town police station, has gone viral, showcasing her compassionate response to a student’s distress. The incident occurred on July 23 at Kanthi Circle in Ilkal when Naik and her team were enforcing traffic rules. They stopped a group of college students riding a bike and fined them for a traffic violation.

After the students paid the fine, one of the pillion riders approached Naik, tearfully explaining that his contribution to the fine left him unable to pay his college fees. The student’s plight resonated deeply with Naik, who recalled a similar struggle from her own school days. She shared that her mother, a laborer, earned only Rs 10 a day, and a lack of funds had previously prevented her from continuing her education.

Moved by the student’s situation, Naik, who had experienced financial hardship herself, gave him Rs 200 to cover his fees. Naik’s gesture was a personal one, driven by her empathy and past experiences. She had previously faced financial difficulties and could relate to the student’s predicament.

Colleagues at the Ilkal police station noted that Naik frequently helps underprivileged individuals and women but rarely seeks recognition for her actions. Her act of kindness was captured on video, bringing her compassionate nature to public attention. Naik emphasized that her approach reflects the humane values instilled by her superiors in the police department.
