Ballari: The Ballari district administration has launched a gram panchayat-level campaign to enhance enrollment in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Under the leadership of the State-Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), the initiative aims to ensure the effective implementation of these low-cost insurance schemes, Deputy Commissioner Prashanth Kumar Mishra announced.
Key Highlights of the Initiative:
✅ Gram Panchayat-Level Awareness: The campaign involves local banks, development officers, Anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers to spread awareness.
✅ Target of 150 Enrollments per Panchayat: The administration has set a target of 150 enrollments per panchayat over the next two months.
✅ Active Monitoring: Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs) have been instructed to ensure maximum participation and regular progress tracking.
✅ Full Banking Sector Support: The District Lead Bank is actively coordinating with local branches to facilitate easy enrollment.
Deputy Commissioner Mishra urged the banking sector and local officials to work collectively to achieve the campaign’s success, ensuring that more people benefit from these affordable social security schemes.
