V.K. Venkateshulu, a superintendent in the District Health and Family Welfare department in Ballari, Karnataka, has been arrested on charges of sexual assault. The case was filed at the Ballari Women’s Police Station following a complaint by the victim.

The victim, formerly a contractual employee at a government medical institution, alleged that Venkateshulu had assaulted her during her previous tenure. After her recent return to work post-marriage, the accused reportedly pressured her to leave her husband, assaulted her, and threatened to share compromising photos and videos on social media. He then allegedly took her to a secluded location and raped her.

Superintendent of Police Dr. Shobharani V.J. confirmed the arrest and assured a thorough investigation. This shocking incident has raised serious concerns about workplace safety and harassment in public institutions.
