Bellari: In a significant breakthrough, the police in Tekkalakote have managed to solve a case involving the theft of bags filled with paddy from a warehouse near Talur village, within the jurisdiction of Sirigeri police station.
Following specific information received, a team led by Venkatesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Siruguppa), along with Thekkalakote Circle Inspector Sundaresh K. Holennavar and PSIs Shanthamurthy and Srinivasa from Ca-Su and Sirigeri police stations respectively, conducted a raid on Wednesday. They successfully arrested the accused, Mudduraj, from Chippinakere village in Chitradurga district. The police also seized 330 bags of paddy valued at ₹8 lakh. Further investigations are underway in this case that was registered on July 23 last year.
The operation involved officers Nagaraj, Ramdas, Ayyappa, B. Kaseemastha Walekar, and Chandrasekhar Swamy ARSI.
