Bengaluru: In a big headache for the BBMP, 62 Pourakarmikas, mostly those above 50 years tested positive for COVID 19.
This test result came in rapid antigen testing carried out by the BBMP team.
According to the authorities, 3,362 Pourakarmikas, subjected to rapid antigen testing. “In this testing 62 Pourakarmikas, tested positive,” informed authorities.
Among these 62, 15 are auto/ tipper drivers and 2 are superintendents.
After the death of a Pourakarmika woman due to COVID 19, the BBMP decided to subject all the Pourakarmikas to COVID 19 testing as they are the vulnerable group.
