Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, on Friday, announced that undergraduate colleges in Karnataka will remain closed from October 21 to November 1 for the Dasara festival.
The Minister announced the same on his official Twitter handle writing in Kannada, “I have instructed the Departmental Officers to declare Dasara Leave for Undergraduate Lecturers from 21.10.2020 to 01.11.2020.”

It was previously decided that schools and pre-university colleges in Karnataka would not re-open this month, even though the Centre has permitted states to start classes from October 15 in a phased manner.
Regarding the reopening of schools and colleges, the Commissioner of the Department of Public Instruction, Bengaluru announced that a new notification would soon be issued.
